A.      Pre activity
1.      The teacher greets the students
T: Good morning students?
S: Good morning, miss.
T: How is the life?
S: very well, and you?
T: I’m full of beans. Thanks for asking.
2.      The teacher leads students to pray
T: in this beautiful morning, lets start our activity today by doing morning pray together. Pray begins !
T , S : (pray)
T: Finish .
3.      The teacher checks the attendance by asking the attend students to mention one of the name of countries
T: well, to know who’s here, let me check the the attendance. Mention one name   of  countries when I call your name, OK. Do you understand ?
S: yes, miss..
T: Nindo
S: America
T: Anggun pratiwi
S: Zimbabwe

4.      The teacher elicit students’ previous knowledge of the subject matter related to guest handling by doing scaffolding talk
T: Look at the pictures on the slide! Who are they?
S1: hotel receptionist …
T: very good!
T: what about the second picture? Who is he ?
S2: he is a porter miss..
T: excellent! What does the woman in the first picture do ?
S: serve the guest in a hotel
T: bravo! She serves the guest by giving the best hospitality to welcome the guest, helping the hotel registration, and soon .
5.      The teacher states the topic on the white board
T: So, the topic we are going to learn today is Guest Handling (writing on the white board)
6.      The teacher tells the students about learning objectives, learning activity, and learning source
T: after learning this lesson, you are expected to be able to :
1.      identify the expression of guest handling
2.      respond the expression of guest handling correctly
3.      use the expression of guest handling correctly
    And today, we are going to learn some expressions and the way to handle the guest, watching the videos, and listening to a recorder related to guest handling to deepen our knowledge about guest handling so after you graduate, you will be skillful, and professional workers if you work in tourism field.
B.    Whilst Activity
1.      The teacher asks the students about kind of utterances usually used in handling the guest based on their knowledge
T: when you come into a minimarket, like indomart, what the usually say to you?
S: Welcome to ‘Indomart’, happy shopping.
T: that’s right. That’s one of the expressions of guest handling. That’s the way the             shopkeeper handle the customers
T: take a look at the slide, these are some expressions usually used in guest handling.
2.      The teacher distributes handouts and worksheet
            T: these are handout and worksheet for you. You have to complete the handout                                  while listening to my explanation. And do some exercises in your worksheet                                           when I ask you.
3.       The teacher explains some utterances of guest handling
            T: look at the slide ! these are some expressions used in guest handling in a hotel,                                restaurant, and shop. Let us read and repeat after me. OK.
            S: Yes, miss..
            T: welcome to our hotel
            S: welcome to our hotel
           
4.       The teacher asks the students to watch two videos related  to guest handling and answer the exercises in their worksheet related to the conversation on videos orally
            T: now, you are going to watch two videos . Pay attention to the conversation in                                 those. Then do exercise 1 to find which expression used in the conversation. and task 2 to answer the questions related to the conversation in the dialog. Do you get it class?
            S: Yes, miss…
            T: Now, watch the video carefully!
            (watching)
5.      The teacher asks the students to compare those two videos they have watched.
                  T : Ok class, after watching on the video, what is in your mind about both of  them?
                  S : the receptionist and staff in the 1st video is impolite and don’t serve the                                    guest as well as the server supposed to do in the 2nd video.
                 T : excellent! Good job. Now, let’s discuss the exercise 1 and 2 together!                                               Frisca, read the instruction in task 1!
    
            Frisca   : Decide which expression used in the conversation!
            T          : OK, thank you frisca. Who want to answer number 1 ?
           

Elaboration
1.    The teacher asks the students to listen to a dialog related to guest handling in the recorder and do exercises provided in their worksheet based on the recorder they are listening
T: now listen to the conversation in the recorder carefully and do the exercise         individually!
S: yes, miss…J

2.    The teacher asks the students to submit their work.
T : well, the time is up… please submit your work! 
S : (submit their work)

1.      The teacher concludes and summed up the material they have learned about guest handling
T : OK class, let’s review what we have learned to day . We have learned about ….

T : What we have to do to our guest upon their coming?
S : Greet , welcome, inform me, direct, thank the guest .

Closing
1.The teacher Assigns the students with homework
T : as your homework, make a dialog related to guest handling, act out your dialog, and make a video of it. Set the scene as real as possible from the costume, and location. Don’t forget to use speech act, and expressions in guest handling. Put your video on a cassette. And submit it to my desk by the next meeting. Do you get my points?
S : Yes, miss… J
2.      The teacher tells the next lesson plan for the next meeting
T : for the next meeting we are going to learn about telephone handling. Be ready for that, At least by reading it before the meeting. Well, that’s all for today. Thanks for joining my class, and see you next time ?
